Rome
When we
were at the Rome airport we could not understand anything
on the signboards. But I understood because all the words
were English with extra alphabets! For example, "St. Petereo",
is actually "St. Peter's" with an extra "eo", and for "toilete",
it is actually toilet with an extra "e".
The next
day, we took a train to the Vatican City ourselves without
directions. Their trains were vandalized all over. I hope
Singapore will not be like that in the future. In Vatican
City, there was a pope which was preserved for 3 centuries.
His body had not decomposed.
On Sunday,
the first week of Lent, the present pope went for confession
and I attended Mass with my family. The next day, I went to
St. Paul's Basilica. I saw St. Paul's chopped head there.
It had not decomposed; the colour of his face was still there.
After that we went to the Coliseum. I thought I saw a human's
skull from outside the gates.
After
all that, we had to go to Paris. I had a lot of fun in Rome,
but I was looking forward to buying toys in Paris.
